McIver family
Donation protected
As many of you may know, Kate McIver has been diagnosed with breast cancer. She has had a series of operations and is now undergoing an intensive course of chemotherapy. Kate is fighting her illness with courage and bravery and has done everything she can to help raise awareness of breast cancer, even having an article in a national newspaper about what she’s been through so far.
This page has been setup because, as friends of Kate and her husband Chris, we want to do what we can to help support Kate and her family. The money we’re hoping to raise will help fund resources to try and make Kate's fight that bit more bearable; with items such as vitamin C drips.
In order to do this, 8 of Kate and Chris’s friends will be doing the 3 peaks challenge in June. We will start in Scotland where we will climb Ben Nevis, followed by Scarfell Pike, and finishing in Wales, at the top of Snowdon. We will be completing the challenge within 24 hrs, which will involve 11 hrs of driving and 13 hours of climbing.
Any donation, no matter how small you may think it is, will be gratefully received, and will go a long way in our helping to support our friends in any way we can.
We would like to thank you in advance and if you are not in a position to make a donation then would you kindly please share Kate’s article to help spread awareness - http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/ill-beat-this-young-mums-9727716
