Brian McGregor-Foxcroft died suddenly on the evening of August 16th, 2019. Brian had been feeling tired for several months but doctors could not find anything wrong. On the morning of the 16th he was rushed to the hospital. He was finally diagnosed with an aggressive form Leukaemia. In the evening he suffered a cardiac arrest and died. This was a traumatic shock for his family and friends.
Brian was well respected in his community. If you knew Brain, you know he loved his work with seniors, and he was an advocate for those less fortunate. Brain was an avid reader and digester of theological books. He studied theology for his Masters at Regent College. He wrote insightful and incisive letters and articles about faith and culture. He also had a lively and vivid sense of humour, and always loved a good practical joke.
Brian's sudden death has left his wife of 46 years, Florence, in need of urgent help. Brian's daughters, Miriam and Kathleen, will be commuting back and forth to support their Mom during this time. However, Florence only has her pension income to live on. She has applied for supplements to help her manage financially, but these benefits will take time to kick in. Florence needs help with paying bills, funeral related costs, and the cost of living over the next few months as she adjusts to life without Brian.
It is our hope to raise $25,000 to support Florence McGregor-Foxcroft as she grieves and recovers. Any amount is deeply appreciated.
