My Parent's House Fire Fund
Donation protected
As many of you know, my parents had a house fire over the weekend. We are so lucky that they all were both able to get out of the house mostly unharmed. We are also very thankful that through the help of social media, we were able to get the sweet dog back who saved their lives. Click here to see the coverage on one of the local news channel.
However, the story doesn't stop there. Most of their necessities and essentials were lost in the fire. Any money that is raised will help them to replace those items and give them the help they need as they start to rebuild. It's going to be quite a long process, but if we can raise a little money now to help them get back on their feet, then they will be just one step closer to getting things back to normal.
Many of you have contacted me about donating items, as well. I am in the process of organizing a drop-off point in the Topeka area so that items can be donated. I will keep you all posted on where that will be. Thank you so much for everyone's help this weekend and as our family moves forward.
I've learned that over the weekend it's not about what we have but who we have in our lives that means most. Thank you all for all of your generousity and support!
