Hi, my name is Kati Gilbreath. My husband and I are fundraising for one of my best friends Rebecca McGaw and her beautiful family due to a medical condition recently encountered by her husband. Richie McGaw began feeling ill the end of October and they found out Richie had a tumor obstructing his digestive tract. His doctors took immediate action and took a small part of his colon to remove the cancerous tumor. He had to have a second surgery on that same area and now has an infection and has become septic.

Richie is currently in intensive care trying to recover. His labs and vitals are slowly improving but some of the numbers aren’t great so this will be a long journey for him. Richie is strong and one of the best people you will ever meet. He had to have a small procedure November 8th to put in a wound vac to help drain infection. He will end up needing a 3rd surgery on his colon once he is better and then once he recovers from all these surgeries he will have to see an oncologist to start his chemotherapy journey.
