Sadly Tuesday morning while trying to make hospital arrangements for her son battling cancer my wonderful neighbors house caught fire! The McDuffie family lost everything. Both their cars burned as well as most of their belongings. The biggest loss of all was their beloved dog that sought shelter in a closet and did not make it. Tracy was the first person I met when I moved to VOA and every person I met after knew of her and her amazing son, Kawaii. They are so welcoming to all who come by and it is heartbreaking to see them going through this. Tracy is sure God has a plan in store for her, however, their biggest concern right now is being without a car and not being able to visit her son in the hospital and be able to get him to and from appointments.
