My dad is a beloved father and a devoted grandfather who has spent his life quietly taking care of everyone else. Now, as he faces the final chapter of his journey, our family is focused on ensuring he is surrounded by comfort, dignity, and peace in his remaining days.

He has recently been diagnosed with late-stage pancreatic cancer, an especially aggressive form of cancer that has progressed rapidly. His medical team has told us his expected survival is less than three months. The disease has brought significant pain, extreme fatigue, and a rapid decline in his strength and independence. At this stage, the focus is no longer on treatment, but on comfort, safety, and quality of life as he spends his remaining time at home with his family.

Our family has already endured unimaginable loss. Years ago, my brother—his son—passed away at just 7 years old after a four-year battle with cancer. Despite this devastating loss, my dad continued to show up for his family with strength, kindness, and unwavering love, never asking for help himself.

My dad lives on a very limited fixed income, and with rising costs, money is tight. I am also caring for my own child with special needs, which makes it extremely difficult for our family to manage these sudden and necessary expenses alone.

Funds raised will go directly toward making my dad comfortable and safe in his final days—items such as a supportive recliner to help manage pain and allow him to rest, safety bars for the shower to prevent falls, and other small home modifications that will help preserve his dignity and independence. Donations will also help cover funeral and burial expenses, easing the financial burden so our family can focus on being together.
