Motor City Dance Factory, LLC (“MCDF’) has been a pillar in the dance community since 2001. Known for its positive family atmosphere, the studio has grown to a dance and gymnastics facility that is the home to over 500 students and their families. The Motor City Dance Factory’s mission is to develop excellence, discipline, and healthy living in children and their families through dance and performing arts.
In December 2010, Motor City Dance Factory (“MCDF”) experienced a fire that destroyed our dance studio. What would have been the end for many, was only the beginning for MCDF. With about $1500 that the insurance company provided and the help of some kindhearted individuals in the community, we were able to reopen the next month directly across the street from the ashes that were left behind. Our testimony is proof that God gives us "beauty for ashes".
Motor City Dance Factory has reached maximum capacity at our current location and is at the precipice of a major expansion. We have the opportunity to own a building and land that could house our expanding numbers of students for years to come. Once the building is renovated to fit our needs, it will be a state of the art facility for dance, gymnastics, youth basketball training and so much more. We will be expanding our mentoring and athletic training for young people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. We have identified a building that we plan to purchase and have been pre-approved for a loan.
Our program serves the Metropolitan Detroit area where there is a need for quality after-school programs. Our clients are our extended families, who trust us with their most valuable resource - their children. Over the last 15 years we have had a100% high school graduation rate, with ALL of our graduating seniors attending college. Many families continue to come through our doors and both sides grow because of the exchange. This is more than a financial endeavor; it is our purpose and calling to make our future brighter and more dynamic as we move future generations to excellence. We have the experience, expertise, passion, and excellence to support our dreams; now we need your contribution.
We are seeking partners who are interested in investing in the future of the Motor City Dance Factory and the youth of the greater Detroit area. Our immediate goal of $200,000 is needed to secure the purchase of the building. This funding is necessary to secure ownership of the building. The second phase will be an additional $300,000 to remodel the interior. You have the opportunity to be a part of our success!
