McDonogh 35 Black History Tour
Donation protected
We have a dream. We want to take forty students from McDonogh 35 Senior High School (the oldest black public high school in New Orleans) on a tour of Southern sites related to Black History in March 2016. With your help, we hope to make that dream a reality.
Our five-day itinerary includes stops in five states: Hattiesburg, Selma, Montgomery, Tuskegee, Birmingham, Memphis, Little Rock, Natchitoches, and Donaldsonville.
As teachers, we know there's no substitute for being there. Books, movies, and photographs can only bring students so close to their history; but standing where so many stood in so many struggles brings that history to life.
Please help our students create memories they will never forget by donating and/or sharing this campaign. We thank you for your support.
