As some of you may know a few years ago, I started McCormick Video Productions. My passion for video production, film making, and being behind the lens led me to go to school at MATC to learn the techniques and trade in order for me to be successful in this field. Through years of hard work, constant sacrifice, and lending my craft to those in need, I have established a following and a resume of work that I am proud of. My desire is to take the skillset that I have learned over the years and go full throttle into the next season of life with managing a production studio, as well as equip myself with the tools for more short films, commercials, and full-length movies.
Uniquely, this year has been one of the most challenging points of my life. With most of us, COVID-19 has made us have to rethink life, reprioritize, and refocus on what really matters. For me, the world pandemic was but a small struggle in comparison to also experiencing the declining health and untimely passing of my mother, Barbara Jean McCormick. I know she was and is proud of me and all that I have done, yet now, I am motivated more than ever to make my life’s dream a reality and an even more special way to honor her by leaving a legacy with the McCormick name.
With the help of KingThink Creative, LLC., a creative hub for aspiring artists, I have begun developing the plans to launch McCormick Video Productions as a full-service production company. As well, McCormick Video Production will be the company for clients looking to shoot commercials, promos, short films, online talk shows, sitcoms and more. We will assist clients with all aspects of video production from start to finish.
This is no small undertaking and is something that I am not afraid to say I need help with funding as well as having a rally of people that believe in the vision I see in my heart. It is important for me to be extremely clear about my funding goals.
I have invested $12,000 into revamping my business and am looking for an investment of $10,000 to continue to purchase equipment, rental space for small productions, as well as the tools to continue to strengthen the infrastructure of MVP.
