McConnell family recover from house fire.

My name is Rob, I've been friends with Karyn since college. I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Karyn and her family. My wife and I live in Virginia and are just sick over this. Anyone who knows Karyn can attest to what a genuine treasure of a person she is and anyone who can count her as a friend is truly blessed. She and Michael have a beautiful family with two kids, cats, and a dog. July 3rd their house caught on fire; all the people made it out safely (that's the most important part), and the pets, their cars were either far enough away or got moved but other than some ID documents or personal effects, everything else was in the house because of how quickly the fire spread. They haven't even been allowed back in the house to see what survived because it could still be unstable.

 

The McConnells are a beautiful and caring family and if this happened to one of us, they'd be there to help however they could. Now they need some help. Between replacing clothes, toys for the kids, furniture, and finding a place to live in a really awful housing market, the McConnells could use some gestures of love and kindness. Any support you can give is helpful. Next time you sit on your couch, look around you and think about everything you see being gone, that's what they're about to climb out of.
