Here is what’s left of the McClelland residence
If you look past the big rock on the left, you’ll see that our statue of Buddha made it through the fire.

This Go Fund Me campaign is for the McClelland family of Paradise, California.
Matt and I (Heather) decided it wouldn't hurt to start a Go Fund Me campaign for anyone who wants to help or support us in starting our lives over somewhere new.
I plan on just sharing this campaign on my facebook page with just a few friends and family and then to see what happens, though feel free to also share to anyone else who you think might want to help.
We have yet to be let up to Paradise to see what's left of our home, but just like everyone else, it seems, we're not expecting to find much. I kick myself because "get renters insurance" had been on my todo list for the last few months, but didn't get done.
I guess the things we could use if anyone wants to help could be:
- furniture - right now, everything; beds, couch, table, dressers
- toys for 8-year-old Jack and 5-year-old Ben - they've been so brave
- kitchen things - everything
- washer and dryer
- any art supplies or craft supplies - I lost a lot and I'm good at using everything and anything
- money for a deposit on a new place and some cushion on rent while Matt finds a new job.
Like I mentioned above, Jack and Ben are being really brave, especially during the hours we were trying to leave town. And Matt and I are trying to just look forward to the new opportunities we'll find in Sacramento.
But, it's still hard to think about how everything you own is pretty much guaranteed to be gone. Today I became sad over the "name brand" Spray-n-Wash and it's back up bottle that I felt good about having.
Please don't feel obligated to send anything but well wishes. That too can be just as helpful.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to read this.
