The McClave Family is in the process of purchasing Wright Away Delivery from the current owners and founders Damien and Lelah Wright, who are stepping aside from the business to devote more time to their young son and other business. We are asking for help from the community , our friends and family to make this happen. Almost two years ago my husband was laid off from his fishing job in Alaska. He looked for work for 9 months before finally landing a job in Port Townsend this past summer at the local Mill. We are very grateful to have him home working instead of out to sea over half the year but it has been a drastic loss of income for our family. Currently we are still trying to get back on our feet and pay the bills we built up trying to live without an income, our savings is exhausted and conventional loans from banks don't seem to be an option. This is the perfect opportunity for both of our families at the perfect time, We will be helping the Wright's step away feeling confident the business they built will go on serving a community that works together. We have a son going to college locally that will work for for us and a daughter in the local High School that will work part time in the summer season when it is busier. Continuing a very valuable service in our local community that Damien and Lelah started is important to us. Your donation will help us acquire the business which will enable us to be employed and get back on our feet again, making a living wage, while giving back to the community we love. Living in Port Townsend and being able to work within our local area will be life changing and will mean so much to us as a family and as a part of our PT community.
Here is a little about what Wright Away Delivery does:
* Dinner at home with your family.
* A bite at your local pub.
* Hotel room service.
* Participating in a Meal Train.
Wright Away Delivery is a multi- restaurant delivery service that collaborates with over a dozen local restaurants in Port Townsend Wa. Wright Away offers the service of delivery for the restaurants as well as the service of having food delivered to the greater community of Port Townsend.
This benefits the restaurants by freeing up table space as well as wait staff, expanding their clientele and getting the menus online and in every home in Port Townsend. Wright Away brings a substantial amount of revenue to the restaurants by way of delivery orders every month.
The service benefits the community by offering convenience to young families, older people with mobility issues, busy, sick and shy folks…and anyone who would prefer to ‘order in’. Wright Away even offers options of feeding loved ones from out of town as it offers Gift Certificates.
We are working with the Wrights to be the new owners by the first of May 2016. If you would like to talk to us more about the business are interested in investing or donation we would love to hear from you.
