Recently the Monticello Fire Department received some disparaging news. One of its long time members, Chief Don McCarthy, was diagnosed with stage 4 Pancreatic cancer.

Don started treatments 7/24/18 and is now incurring medical expenses. The fire department family has decided to help their fellow firefighter by starting this account & holding a fundraiser Saturday, September 29 at the Monticello Berndes Center. We are asking  members of our wonderful community & surrounding areas to help out Don and his family by making a monetary donation.
