On July 29 Brian was admitted to the hospital following the discovery of a cystic mass on his brain. Due to the life threatening swelling, he had emergent surgery the following Sunday to remove it. While the surgery successfully removed the majority of tumor and reduced the swelling, he was diagnosed with Glioblastoma. This is an aggressive cancer that will require aggressive treatment consisting of 8 months of chemo and radiation.
At this time we don't know when Brian will be able to return to work. As with any catastrophic illness, the financial burden is great. Any funds raised will be used to provide for Brian and his family as he fights this. If you know him, you know that he is a fighter. He is determined to fight this all the way. We would love to raise enough money to cover expenses so that Brian and his family can focus on their fight rather than paying bills.
