Mary Casey Black Elementary Problem 4 team of 3rd-5th graders was one of the State finalists for Northern California Odyssey of the Mind Tournament and has earned the opportunity to compete in the World Finals at Michigan State University. They studied engineering, architecture, design, and performance to prepare a presentation and create a balsa structure to support weight tests. They competed at both regional and state tournaments. The team is fundraising to cover travel, lodging, and expenses so they can represent their school and compete against teams from all over the world.
