Support Mbutch to complete his breathwork training

Hello, My name is Lucy and I have set up this fundraiser on behalf of Mbutch a.k.a Daniel Muhuni to support the completion of his Transformational breath certification here in the UK this September.

I was first introduced to Mbutch at the G.I.C (Global Inspiration Conference) in Kenya this July as part of the musicians/ workshop team. We spent a week getting to know each other, and since learning more about his story I have felt a strong pull to support his onward journey as a breathwork facilitator, it is a miracle that he is here with us today!

Mbutch started training with Transformational Breath in 2021 after he was introduced to this modality in 2019 when the doctors found a tumour on his pituitary gland. Thanks to Transformational Breath and through the support of Sr. Theresa Hougnon, he was able to heal himself from the tumour and is now able to live a full and healthy life.

Mbutch carried out levels 1,2,3, and 4a in Kenya with senior trainer Vincent Oloo between 2021 and 2022. This came to a sudden halt as there were not enough participants at that time to continue with the training, which has left Mbutch waiting with an eagerness to certify so that he can support his community with this very powerful tool.

He is no stranger to the power of the breath and the miracles in which this simple tool can bring to us for healing, insight and to connect us back to health and wholeness

When I met Mbutch I was immediately impressed by his depth and knowledge base in both musicality and healing. This was clearly evident in the workshops he hosted and collaborated on as a guest at the GIC conference.

After spending some time with Mbutch and getting to know him much more deeply over recent weeks, I can really see his passion and clear vision and why completing his breathwork facilitation is so important to him and his community.

Mbutch has always had community at the forefront of his daily life, supporting his friends, family and his local and national community in many different ways. He is very much in deep service to this world, and his vision with breathwork is to be able to support those in his community to live a much more fulfilled and happier life through the power of the breath. He currently offers his work to sight-impaired people in his area amongst many others.

Most people in Kenya lead extremely stressful lives which can lead to a myriad of diseases, abuse, and a much poorer quality of life. They suffer from hunger and not getting paid regularly which can lead to frequent eviction without notice from their homes. It is renowned that some Kenyans can arrive home to their doors being closed off and all their belongings taken away by landlords, all because they were not able to pay their rent. It’s a much tougher life than here in the UK/Europe and other parts of the world, one that requires a lot of resilience and willpower to stay within your centre.

By offering and teaching those in his community through transformational breathwork sessions, he can help to reduce stress and anxiety, bring a sense of peace and ease to family and home life, and create more community connection.

One of his biggest projects which will be working alongside The Breathing Classroom is to take breathwork into the schools of Kenya. This project teaches the teachers how just a few moments of conscious breathing each day can have a huge impact on the attentiveness of the children, and how this very simple tool can be fun and bring more joy into spaces where teachers are often hungry and stressed and resorting to punitive things like the cane to restrain children who are "misbehaving", often because they too are hungry and stressed.

Mbutch has a vision to help shift this mentality, to bring a sense of peace to his community and to watch this ripple out over time across his country and further around the globe.

What we need your support with:

As a Kenyan citizen, it isn’t easy to get into the UK, however, we have some incredible people writing letters for Mbutch who’ve had the opportunity to experience his work. Our biggest support that we now need is the funding for:

Return Flights (up to £1,000)
Course fees for 1 week full board, discounted by 20% (£1940)
Visa Fees (£100)
Go fund me fees and any extra fees (£450+)

** Update! Transformational Breath has decided to support this cause which means Mbutch's course fees are now paid for! We are so grateful to Transformational Breath for their support to help Mbutch. I have updated how much we still need to support Mbutch to come to the UK. **

We want Mbutch to be able to carry on working with his teacher, Vincent, who comes to the UK regularly to offer breath work seminars and it just so happens that Vincent will be in the UK during the time that we are applying for his Visa.

Vincent is also from Kenya and it feels important to be supporting the community in this way.

When Mbutch arrives in the UK, I will be supporting him with accommodation, food and travel.

If you’ve read this far, I want to personally thank you. Please know that any support, no matter how small, will truly make a huge difference.

Even if you don’t have the financial funds to support, sharing this with those who may be able to help will be the biggest gift. Together we are stronger, together we can build a life of peace.

With so much love,

Lucy and Mbutch
