About myself:
Hi! My name is Matt Breslin and I'm a 16-year-old New Jersey wreck diver. I became a scuba diver at the age of 13, because I knew at a very early age what I wanted to do with my life. I want to be a marine biologist. When I took my first breath underwater, I knew it was where I belong. Recently with the help of a NJ Shipwreck expert, I’ve led an expedition off the coast of New Jersey to take measurements and create drawings of machinery on the bow of the wreck, to help with my research at the National Archives.
What I need funding for:
I am raising $1500 so I can take a dive trip to Grand Cayman to study the local culture, shipwrecks, wildlife, and ecosystem. The trip will take place January 13th-20th 2018. The housing I will be staying at is the Sunset House Dive Resort. I will also get unlimited air tanks, weights, and free breakfast.

Why this is important to me:
This trip is important to me because I’ll be able to experience a new culture, get to see wildlife that I’ll be able to study in crystal clear water. Studying species, I’ve never seen in my life in environments that are different from my comfort zone will give me experience for my career later in my life.
