MBP bat data collection
Tax deductible
Maryland Biodiversity Project needs your help to raise money for bat detection equipment for the 2018 field season. North American bat populations have declined at alarming rates due to threats such as White Nose Syndrome (WNS) and southern species are expanding northward. We'll arm enthusiastic volunteers around the state with bat detection equipment (Echo Meter Touch 2) to survey for bats all season. Data will be vetted by experts and shared with conservation efforts. We will raise awareness and promote great work by Maryland DNR Natural Heritage Program and Bat Conservation International. Thanks in advance!
