Nursing School Assistance
Heyyy Family and Friends!
As most of you have recently learned, I have been accepted to a Nursing Program at Utica College, here in Florida. Many were unaware, but the past three semesters I attended Broward College and was able to successfully complete the science prerequisites, required for the nursing program, with a 3.8 GPA. The program is accelerated, meaning I have the opportunity to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and be a Registered Nurse in just 16 months.
While anxiously waiting for the first day of class, which is August 30th, I have been faced with an unexpected financial hurdle. If you know me, you know I would have let the day come and go without saying a word, which would have gotten me nowhere. So instead, I’m choosing to go a different route and ask for help. Due to the fact that I already have a Bachelor’s degree, I don’t have the same options when it comes to financial aid, as most students obtaining a Bachelor’s degree would. In regard to alternatives, I have made multiple attempts and explored numerous avenues that have lead me here. The total program cost is $58,460, however, I am only raising $35,000 because I am able to cover the remaining. While I am blessed to even be able to make such a contribution, I want to be just as sure that I would be able to finish the program as I am to start. The breakdown of tuition and fees is posted below.
I am eternally grateful for any contribution, whether that be monetary, providing knowledge of other resources, etc. Love you all for believing in me.
