My Brother’s Keeper is a modern day adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth. Through modernized language and diverse characters, it touches on the consequences of unchecked ambition and the impact of heroin abuse and it effect on one’s life and people around them. The film is designed to draw new audiences into the works of Shakespeare through a multicultural cast with African American and female leads, gay love stories, transgender actresses and modern themes.

Logline: In order to take over a city wide heroin ring, an ambitious drug pusher is convinced to kill a notorious drug lord and blackmail his closeted brother to take the fall.
Synopsis: Encouraged by his wife’s unrelenting ambition, Mac an ambitious drug pusher murders Duncan, the leader of a city wide heroin drug ring. Mac frames the murder on Malcolm, Duncan's brother and Jameson, his secret lover, who flee the city in fear of their lives. Mac becomes the reigning power, but his inexperience stirs discontent amongst his followers, particularly when the truth behind his sudden rise is revealed.
Fears of losing everything and paranoia leads him to order a hit on his closest friend, Benji and kidnap Madeline, the wife of his arch enemy, Don.  These extreme actions plunge him deeper into insanity as he’s haunted by the ghosts of his victims, constantly looking over his shoulder and desperate to maintain control while Don and Malcolm unite to plot revenge.Production Team
