Tuition for 3 orphans in Burco

Hello Everyone!

Hello everyone! My name is Hanan and as you all know currently I am in Burco volunteering at Burao Academy, a Science and Technology school in Burco. 

This past year I’ve been assisting the founder of Burao Academy, Asha Farah in fundraising for this school so when this opportunity to go visit the school presented itself I jumped at it. Education for Somali children is something I’m extremely passionate about. One can lose everything in life but they will still have the knowledge that they are taught. The school’s mission is to empower Somali youth through education & quality of life. In addition to volunteering I would like to use my platform in order to fundraise to cover the tuition of three students for the academic year. 

Burao Academy has a partnership with a nearby Orphanage called Urtehagen. Students in Urtehagen are prepped in order to pass admission exams in Burao Academy. 8 students so far are successfully enrolled in Burao Academy from UrtenHagen. This donation will continue the partnership since orphans from Urtehagen enroll in Burao Academy for free.   

I will be providing updates on here with our goal & my footage from my trip to Burao Academy.
