The Wadsworth Family

The summer of 2023 has been anything but normal for the Wadsworth family. Chris, age 33, is a loving husband to Megan and a father of two precious children, Camille and Mason (ages 4 and 1). Chris has been in and out of the hospital many times this summer, with 6 ER visits, a diagnosis of CTEPH, and extremely high pulmonary artery pressures. Currently, he is in the ICU at Emory and has been there for 3 weeks. While in the ICU, they put him on a very strong IV medicine to stabilize his pulmonary hypertension and improve right heart function. Upon discharge, he will remain on the medicine at home through a central line and pump. Chris will eventually require surgical intervention sometime in the next few months, which will more than likely take place in San Diego.

This GoFundMe campaign will help provide funds for past and future medical expenses, as well as travel expenses. Chris and his family are likely facing extreme medical costs over the next few months. The medication that he will continue to take while at home is very expensive and has yet to be covered by insurance, nor a foundation.
