Lady Ambassadors Team Fund

My name is Richard Peay.  Currently, I'm an Assistant Principal at Elementary School PS 47.  After school, I'm the Head Coach for the Stevenson Campus High School Girls Varsity Basketball Team.  I've been the Head Coach since the fall of 2002.  I'm also a 1980 Graduate of Stevenson High School as well.  My reason for joining the "gofundme" program is to raise money for team uniforms.  The school dynamics has changed in the past several years.  Stevenson Campus now houses 10 different schools in one building.  As a result of these various schools, funding for the Athletic Program has been cut dramatically.  We have worn the  same game and practice uniforms since the 2006-2007 season.   I've always believed,  in order to build a solid program, the first thing is to change the way you look.  Too often, we have to dress players with practice uniforms for Home or Away games.  Either the numbers have fallen off the jersey or we just don't have enough to make a perfect match.  We will use the money to buy quality game and practice uniforms that will last for the next several years to come.  The money will also be used to purchase extra basketballs, jump ropes, equipment cart and agility cones.  My players never complain! They just enjoy coming to practice and preparing for the season competition.  However, these young ladies deserve the opportunity to look and feel like champions.  It is my hope with the help of your donations we will one day be CHAMPIONS!!!
