Bring Bowie Home

Bowie’s journey is heartbreaking and to give you the full story we ask you to read what happened as it is not a short explanation.

In 2019 Ronn and his daughter Bella moved to Brazil from Texas with Ronn’s now ex-husband Lou and their two dogs Bowie and Jaxson for what they expected to be two years.  They moved there to care for Lou’s father who was diagnosed with a terminal illness.  

After 3 months Ronn realized that his ex-husband spent all of their savings without his knowledge. Because of this his daughter Bella was unable to continue at her current school as his ex spent her tuition.  Concurrently, Ronn’s chronic illness became worse so he returned to the US for care from his specialist and Bella enrolled back in school in the US.

His ex assured him that he would take care of their dogs in Brazil as they would only be gone for a couple of months. Then Ronn found out through social media that his ex left Brazil for Florida without telling him.  He not only abandoned the dogs, but abandoned his marriage, fatherhood and family in Brazil.  

As Ronn was starting to look into bringing the dogs home the pandemic hit and everything came to a screeching halt.  During this time Ronn was trying to find out what was going on with the dogs without answers from his ex. After researching ways to bring the dogs back Ronn found Paloma of Pet’s on the Go in Brazil. And after several months his ex Lou admitted he sold Jaxson to someone but Bowie was still with his mother, not for long though.  

Ronn was able to finally see a picture of Bowie and the image is heartbreaking.  Ronn borrowed money to hire Paloma to retrieve Bowie and fly him back to her home where he is being boarded. Paloma’s husband is a vet and is treating him for many health issues. He has skin and eye infections, one eye needs surgery, he’s underweight and malnourished among other health issues.


Regarding Jaxson, Ronn is still trying to locate him but his ex will no longer provide any information to Ronn or Bella about Jaxson or whom he sold Jaxson too.  So we are trying other avenues to locate him.

We are l fundraising so we can raise the funds to help pay for Bowie’s travel, treatment and boarding until one of Paloma’s pet nannies flies Bowie back to his family in Michigan.  We are asking Ronn’s family, friends and more to please contribute if they possibly can and also to share the campaign for more exposure.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
