Travis’s Road to Recovery
A few months ago, Travis had a terrible fall and suffered a broken hip as well as injury to other bones and brain swelling. He had also tested positive for COVID, but has since recovered. Thankfully it wasn’t as bad as it could have been. Although he has insurance to cover some of his medical expenses, he’s going to need help to cover additional out-of-pocket medical expenses. During his time in the hospital, he spent several weeks in a medically induced coma and is now just remembering many of the events that led to his horrible fall.
He won’t be able to work for a while until he is recovered enough to get his bearings. Currently, he is getting good care at a facility in LA and will be back on his feet in a few months from now if he continues on his current trajectory. Until then he’ll also need help to pay his rent and bills that continue to come due each month. Some family and friends have already chipped in funds to help, but it isn’t enough to cover all of his expenses.
For those of you who don't know me, I live in WA (Seattle area) and have been friends with Travis for over 10 years now. We met playing on a NAGVA volleyball team together and have since gone on many adventures together outside of volleyball. He is a dear friend of mine. I wanted to step in to help raise funds and manage his bills (medical, rent, utilities, internet, mobile phone service, food/drink) while he is focused on recovering.
We know times are tough for everyone right now, but anything you can give to help Travis get back on his feet would be tremendously appreciated!
