On Tuesday August 18, 2020 Kyle accidentally fell 35 feet off a roof.  Quite isolated in rural Muskoka he was not attended to by EMS for almost an hour.  Once he did arrive at the Huntsville Hospital, he was quickly airlifted to Sunnybrook in Toronto where he remains at the present time.

Realizing how lucky he was not to have broken his back or landed on his head he did severely break both legs.  He has had one surgery to date and is scheduled to undergo several more reconstructive surgeries in the next few weeks.   He will there until his surgeries are complete.

What we do know for sure is that he won’t be walking for at least 6 months and the road to recovery will be slow and painful because of the severe damage to his feet.

Kyle has two young children, Autumn who turned 3 while Daddy was in hospital and Harrison who is 1 year old.  Right now, he only wants to hold his children and explain to Autumn why Daddy went away and she hasn’t seen him.

Like many of us in today’s world Kyle has no savings or contingency plan to cover catastrophic accidents.  While much is paid for by Government the majority of his convalescing will be in addition to and on top of that which is provided.

Contributions towards Kyle’s recovery would be greatly appreciated.  His Mother has set up an account for those who are able to help and she will ensure that 100% of those funds go towards his recovery.

It just goes to show us all that it only takes a few short seconds to change a life forever.  Kyle’s life can only get better from here on!!

Many thanks from Kyle's family!!
