MAZIE NEEDS YOUR HELP!
Mazie has never let Cystic Fibrosis limit her goals and dreams! She has never let herself think negative or feel down because of her disease. There has never been a time Mazie asked for special treatment or accommodations to be made for her.
Mazie is currently 22 years old and in a
Doctorate program for Occupational Therapy. The last thing Mazie has ever wanted is to reach out to anyone and ask for help but when continuing her education is in jeopardy she has no choice. In every way this situation simply put is just wrong.
Mazie has been denied the Graduate Plus loan through the government because of ongoing medical debit. She has appealed and lost her appeal. (She does qualify according to ALL qualifications listed) She has applied for numerous private loans all with the same reply. Mazie has gone to the university and completed the paperwork they provided her with the university replied that their policy is to not help graduate students financially. Once this response was sent the financial aid office has not replied to Mazie’s emails which she asked for some advice with possibly achieving a loan with an institution she hasn’t thought of trying.
Mazie is a determined, brilliant young woman who refuses to let her disease decide her life. Now she needs to see it is ok to ask for help once in awhile.
Mazie will graduate with her Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy before her 24th birthday, if she is able stay in this demanding program.
This is a young lady who will be doing amazing things with her future. Cystic Fibrosis is something that she has and manages but it is NOT who she is!
Please help Mazie not allow the massive costs of managing her disease stop her from continuing her education and achieving her dreams. This is wrong in so many ways that she needs this help.
Mazie has tried to take on this debit herself and absolutely would if she could obtain a loan. She is now down to the final weeks to pay her tuition in order to continue her education in this program.
Thank You in advance for taking the time to consider helping this amazing young woman!
