Maywood is a small town with a tight community feel. Let's help one of our own, Donna Doria and her family. Both Cheryl and I met Donna when our children were in kindergarten together over 30 years ago. Today the unthinkable happened - a fire suspected to have started with a propane tank explosion on the rear deck - destroyed the two-family home that Donna resided in with her son and their family pets. Thankfully everyone escaped harm and the family pets were found - but they lost a tremendous amount of personal belongings and their home, which they rented for over a decade is uninhabitable. It's heartbreaking and so hard to fathom all the loss that this family is enduring. Donna was a dedicated and involved parent with Maywood sports and Scouts, etc as her children were growing up. If you can contribute anything to help her get back on her feet and start a new home - it would be so appreciated. Maywood strong!! Thank you kindly for any donation / large or small!!
