Update 3/6/21
Hi family and friends, an update on our
precious Maysie.
Maysie’s tumor was cancer and we will have to
start radiation and chemo treatments in a few
weeks. She will be getting a spinal tap to see if
there is cancer in her spinal fluid.
We need you prayer warriors.
Pray for:
• that the tumor never grows back. Cancerous
tumors are more likely to return and grow into
other parts of the brain. If they return, they can
also become more aggressive and difficult to
treat or even untreatable
• pray there is no cancer in the spinal fluid
• pray that Maysie overcomes the trauma and
is able to recover fully
Maysie's mood has improved significantly since
she has been moved out of the hospital into the
hotel room and has been smiling and laughing.
Something she hasn't done in weeks! :)
Going back and forth to do treatments will
most likely be a long process and costly. Your
generous support is so needed and
appreciated as they will have to take off work
and pay for hotel rooms and more while in
treatment.
We are in this for the long haul and know our
God is in the business of miracles! The whole
family is standing with them and supporting
them through this. What is so amazing also is
we are all family in the family of God and we
have felt so encouraged and seen answers to
prayers because of all of you. Updates to
follow.
Maysie had surgery on Tuesday, March 2nd and things went very well. The surgeon was very pleased at how everything went. Please continue to pray and consider donating for her road to recovery. Updates to follow.
Hey family, I am writing on behalf of my sister and brother-in-law & with their permission,
Maysie really needs your prayers!
Over the past two-ish weeks Maysie was randomly vomiting in the morning after waking up. Then this past week she began vomiting uncontrollably(9+ times/day).
After seeing multiple doctors they still couldn’t figure out what was going on. At first they thought it was just a stomach bug, and then a UTI or appendicitis.
Thankfully through a divine appointment with a friend who connected them with an awesome pediatrician, who (finally ) took the situation very seriously, Audrey & Drex & my parents headed to the OHSU Doernbecher children’s hospital in Portland yesterday (February 27).
At this point Maysie’s vitals were stable, but she hadn’t been able to eat or hardly drink for 4ish days and she had also stopped walking.
They arrived around 10pm and there were 5-7 doctors who immediately checked Maysie out, did an MRI and within the first hour and a half figured out exactly what was going on.
They found a tumor on her brain blocking fluids creating pressure on her brain! They said with all the pressure from the fluid that she could have died at any moment earlier this week (miracle #1) and that if she had gone to another hospital they wouldn’t have been able to figure it out in time (Jesus is so so good ❤️).
Currently, she has a tube draining the fluid off and making her a little more comfortable and they are preparing for emergency surgery tomorrow, Monday March 1st or Tuesday March 2nd.
So PRAY for a miraculous healing! Pray for a smooth surgery. Pray for a benign tumor. Pray for the surgeons to have the absolute best plan. Pray for Maysie to come out of surgery unscathed. Pray for God to give Audrey & Drex strength!
We serve a GOOD God. He has already been showing up in so many ways. He is in all the details! We are trusting in Him for a good outcome!
This money will go towards food, the upcoming surgery and hospital stay.
Thank you so much for your love, prayers, and support! It means more than you could ever know.
