Mayor of Thame's Chosen Charities
Each year Thame Town Council elects a Mayor to represent the Council and raise money for charity.
On 19 May 2015, Cllr Nichola Dixon was elected to serve as Mayor of Thame for 2015-16:
"It is an honour and a privilege to be able to be Thame’s representative and it is a fantastic opportunity to get involved and give something back."
Over the coming year, Nichola will be undertaking lots of fundraising activities to raise money for her two chosen charities including a Sky Dive, Civic Dinner and Quiz evening.
Her chosen charities for her Mayoral year are:
Thame & District Day Centre - providing day care to the elderly and isolated in Thame and the surrounding area. - Thame & District Day Centre Website
Thame to Thame - supporting Thame's namesake village in Nepal following the devastating earthquake in April 2015. - Thame to Thame Facebook Group
