Our neighbor and Longmeadow native, the iconic Maggie Brace, passed away unexpectedly, leaving all of her family, friends and neighbors heartbroken. To honor her legacy of "acts of kindness" we would like to dedicate a bench on Greenacre Avenue, where she devoted countless hours to beautify her community. A scholarship fund will also ensure that her love of all things green will be set up for a deserving student at Longmeadow high school. As The " pumpkin lady" she brought endless joy and excitement to generations of local families and made Greenacre Ave a family tradition for decades of trick or treaters. To know her was to love her.
