Mayo Just Five Years Old, He Faces a Life-and-Death Crisis...

I never imagined that one day I would be posting such a plea for help online. But seeing Mayo so weak in the hospital bed, I know this is my last hope.

Mayo is a cat I brought back from London in 2022, a abandoned cat who needed a home. Over the past three years, he has been by my side through countless difficult nights, his warm little body comforting my exhaustion.

However, fate has dealt us a heavy blow.

The day before yesterday, he started having urinary issues, and I urgently sought help online. A kind stranger recommended medication, which I administered twice

Yesterday, he suddenly began vomiting and refused to eat or drink. As soon as I got off work, I rushed him to the emergency animal hospital.

After a series of tests, the doctor delivered devastating news:

Mayo has acute kidney failure and must be hospitalized immediately—or we may have to consider euthanasia.

He is now unable to move and cannot be taken home.

The cost of treatment is as high as £2,300 per day

Watching the IV tube being inserted into Mayo's tiny paw, my heart shattered. He’s still so young—just a few days ago, he was snuggling in my arms, meowing at me. Now, he lies weakly in a hospital bed. The doctor said he needs at least two days of hospitalization, with an estimated cost of £5,000 to £7,000, and additional fees may be charged for medications and equipment during treatment.

£7,000 is an astronomical sum for me, as I’m already struggling financially. I only had a few hundred pounds left, and I desperately reached out to friends in the middle of the night to scrape together £1,000 as a deposit to start treatment immediately. But how can I raise the rest of the money in such a short time?

Am I really forced to give up on him? I just can’t bring myself to do it

I beg all kind-hearted people to help Mayo, to save this innocent little life. Every act of kindness is a force to help him overcome this illness.

I am willing to provide all medical records and expense details, and I welcome everyone’s supervision.

If Mayo can recover, I will spend the rest of my life taking good care of him and do my best to give back to society by helping more animals in need.
