Support Maylee’s family through this tragic loss

My name is Amber, as some of you may know, my daughter Maylee was taken to Augusta Health 1/10 due to having a seizure and being severely weak. Shortly after arriving they decided to transport her to UVA pediatric ICU as this was the best care for her. After arriving she was stable. Around 1-2AM things changed for the worse. A CT scan showed between the time we left Augusta Health to 1-2AM time frame she had a stroke on the left side of her brain. We were informed also at that time her brain was pushed against her skull and her brain stem. She also had fluid around her brain. They explained this was a life threatening concern and urgent so they rushed her into brain surgery. She is stable at this time but there is so much unknown. We are not sure of the cause or what her future will look like after coming off sedation. We have so many people praying and asking for something to help out with and what we can think of is any amount to help with gas traveling across the mountain as we have our 6 month old to raise as well, hotel stays as the hospital only allows 1 parent over night, bills as we don’t know when we will be returning to work and future medical bills as well. If you arent able to donate I ask you to PLEASE take a minute to pray for my sweet girl. This isn’t fair, she has faced so much in this life and has overcame so many obstacles including her cerebral palsy diagnosis. Maylee is an absolutely perfect, loving, sweet and happy little girl. The money is also a huge help because our dog Bently is at Home Away from Home daycare which is $50 a night until we figure out what to do!
