Mayer Family Medical Emergency Fund

Hello, my name is Katie Skinner. I am a friend to the Mayer Family and I would like to bring light and assistance to them during this time of need. The Mayer's have been committed to our community for many years and have 3 children at Saint Hubert's School (Kindergarten, 4th, and 7th). They are devoted and active members of our Church as well.

 

Their oldest son Joshua has been plagued with severe ailments in the past year. After recovering from COVID last May, he experienced dizziness, headaches, tremendous fatigue, and was unable to walk. Thankfully he was able to overcome that bout of debilitation. However, these symptoms have resurfaced in a more tremendous way. Over the past few weeks he has been again unable to walk unassisted, had severe dizziness, and recurring headaches. Joshua has been unable to attend school or partake in any activities during this time. Seeing him "sidelined" from his life has made an impact on so many of his classmates. It is time to take action. Joshua starts with Dr. Schmoe Monday November 8th. Time is of the essence.

 

The Mayer family have had a heartbreaking time getting to the root cause of Joshua's ailments. This process has left them with very little answers to date and looming additional medical bills. After searching and praying, they are perusing the "Functional Neurology Center of Minnesota". Dr. Schmoe who established this clinic has been a beacon of light for other families in our community. There is so much hope emerging for Joshua's case and for his true healing.

 

Unfortunately, this type of treatment is not covered by Health Insurance. With 2 full time working parents and 3 children, the cost of this cutting edge treatment will not be possible for Joshua without our communities' support.

 

If you would please join me and all those who are praying and supporting this sweet family, they need our help. They need our encouragement, our warm questions and concern, our prayers, and they need our financial assistance right now. We will start with a $10,000 goal, knowing that that will certainly help this family, and yet will not cover all of the expenses.  If you can, please help them to get the treatment for Joshua he needs and to help ease some of the existing financial burden from this year of hardship they have endured.
