Mayer/Bergman Family Fire Relief

As many of you know my parents, sister and family live in Paradise, CA. They have endured the worst this last week. Although my brother-in-law stayed back and saved the houses on his street, he barely made it out when his health was too bad to go on. We counted our blessings that they made it out safe and by a miracle their house is still standing in the middle of a completely burned out town. As they begin to think about what next, they have found out that because their house did not burn down they will receive no emergency aide. They are not allowed to go back to their house because it is too toxic and not safe, yet they will not be eligible for any financial help to get them through this displacement. They have been given no timeline when they might be able to go try and salvage their house. Everything inside the house is destroyed, they can not work or go to school. They have only what they could grab on the way out. The funds raised will be used for food, clothing, basic human needs for now. Then it will be used to help with the clean up and to help get the community back.

I am asking for my parents, sister, brother, niece and nephew...if you can help in any way, any amount - it would be so appreciated. Nobody plans to wake up one day and lose everything. Thank you for helping them pick up the pieces.
