Hi - my name is Keri Kidd Cannon and I am a long-time Bellevue resident. My son is a sophomore at James Lawson High School and one of his friends - Magok Mayen’s family was impacted today in the apartment fires in Bellevue. The Mayen family lost everything and escaped with only the clothes on their backs. I met with the family this evening and they were so kind and appreciative of any help we might give them. Slate is moving them into another apartment as soon as one is ready, and a group is working to have furniture donated, but the family will need to completely rebuild their lives. Anything you can donate will go directly to them, and any little bit will help.
