Meet Abby and Maybellene!
Maybellene is a sweet five-year-old golden retriever who has faced numerous health challenges throughout her life. I became Maybellene’s foster mom in March of this year through a local dog rescue in Lexington, Kentucky. They were fantastic in helping Maybellene get back on her feet and live her best life!
Maybellene was adopted by her wonderful mother, Abby, who was initially just my dog sitter for Maybellene. Abby has since become a very dear friend of mine. Maybellene suffers from severe allergies and has been undergoing immunotherapy for several months to manage her symptoms. Thanks to Abby’s dedication, including numerous costly vet visits, Maybellene’s health has significantly improved.
However, in the past week, Maybellene’s condition has rapidly declined due to a severe infection while on immunosuppressants. She is now undergoing lifesaving surgery to remove an infectious mass obstructing her airway.
As Abby focuses on helping Maybellene recover, I’d like to offer some financial support to ease the burden of these unexpected expenses.
