Maybe Tomorrow is a short film about the deep pocket of loneliness so many of us seem to be living in right now.
I spend much of my life helping people find who they’re looking for, and somewhere between my work as a professional matchmaker and my creative life as a performer, writer, and now director, I’ve been meditating on the strange grief of being single. It’s a kind of ache that can feel both ordinary and enormous, one that’s often exploited by every industry built to sell us love, hope, or the illusion of meaning.
This film explores that tension: the exploration and the exploitation of heartbreak, longing, and desire for what we don’t yet have. It’s about the way we deify anything that promises an answer, and how belief itself can become a lifeline when you’re just trying to make it through the day.
And yes, it’s funny. I swear.
Maybe Tomorrow will be co-directed by my talented friend Courtney Ulrich , shot by Ariana Hoshino , produced by Coco Glickman and featuring some fun, familiar faces along the road to the top of Dante’s Peak in Griffith Park.
We’ll be filming in mid January, and I’d love your help in bringing this story to life. Every dollar goes directly toward paying and feeding our crew and supporting post-production costs. Your contribution means the world, and no amount is too small.
Thank you for being a friend!!!!
