This fund is the official fund to help provide for Maya. February 19, 2026 Maya’s life shifted in a significant and dark way. She was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. Two days later, after a brain MRI, she found out she also has 14 tumors in her brain and was upgraded to stage 4 cancer. Due to Maya’s diagnosis, the lovely and supportive medical team is pushing to get her in for each appointment come soonest opening. Plus, she’s to undergo treatments - and they take their toll. With the whirlwind of appointments and symptoms amounting, Maya has had to take a massive step back from day to day life and work. By the graciousness of her work, Maya has been able to come in on an as-she’s-able-to basis, but this shift has left a financial gap in Ryan, her spouse, and Maya’s life. As such, they created this fund. It has a big target as this will be a lifelong fight for Maya but truly they are asking for whatever anyone is comfortable giving. The funds will be used to pay for: Keeping Maya comfortable, maintaining her fulfillment, out of pocket medical costs, house bills, utilities, car upkeep, groceries, a wig when the time comes, rebuilding once she’s beaten it, and more.
