Hey everyone! Maya is my best friend in the whole world. I found her off the highway and we've been best friends ever since. **Please watch the video, it'll give you more of the whole story**

This past week, she was bitten by a rattlesnake! It's been the most traumatic experience of my entire life. She has been in and out of the hospital and has gone to the vet every day since the bite.

I hate asking for help. However, unfortunately, Nationwide has a cap to each claim and that cap is $660 for snake bites. The total bill from the ER was $3,135. So I'm on the hook for $2,475 dollars. In addition, she's going to need dressing changed to her wound every day (each dressing change is $75) and this past week she has needed bloodwork each visit. (please see video) Just for one week, it's been - $869.90. HOPEFULLY, she won't need more bloodwork, but she will continue to need dressing changes each day (including Sundays!) for a month. so that's $75x27 = $1,725 dollars with a TOTAL of $5,070. HOWEVER, multiple people have already donated via venmo. A total of $1011!!!! So that leaves us to a grand total of $4059!!!

Throughout all of this, my main goal was to keep her alive, then it was to save her paw, then it was to avoid surgery. Now that we're out of the woods in terms of her not DYING, we need to future out this finance situation. Thank you to all who have venmoed me already. It makes a huge difference.
