Maya & Camila Cafe: A Dream Threatened by Fire
Donation protected
Hello, Friends,
In May, after 5 years of dreams and planning, my childhood friend Danny opened Maya & Camila cafe in Park Slope. Named after his two young daughters, this cafe was the culmination of his family's entrepreneurial aspirations.
While Danny has worked 18-hour days ramping up the business of the cafe, his wife Yelena, a dedicated NYC teacher, has been shaping the future of city kids in classrooms. Together, they've passionately served our community.
However, after just a short few months in business, a fire has left the cafe powerless and closed. With the cafe closed, Danny's now grappling with mounting business expenses and no income from the cafe to offset the expenses .
We Need Your Help to:
- Support the cafe staff with their wages.
- Cover immediate business expenses.
- Help restore and rebuild the heart of this cafe.
Whether you're a regular at Maya & Camila, a Park Slope neighbor, or just a kind soul, your contribution can light up this family's dream again.
Donate what you can. Share where you can. Let's help Danny's dream thrive for Maya, Camila, Yelena, and our community.
