Maya Allsop - Football and Education Dream Contract!

Hi, my name is Maya Allsop and I am 15 years old.

I have been offered a position at the Steven Gerrard Academy in Liverpool as the first International Women's players. I am a local Yeppoon girl that has been on a whirlwind journey from leaving my home, my Dad and my family and friends to move to Brisbane with just my Mum (commuting home as much as I can), to play at NPL level for U17. I am currently playingU17, U23 and had my first start in the Open Women's FQPL1 team just recently. I also made the senior Metropolitan East region team to compete at School Sports state titles.

In January I travelled over to the UK to trial at a few clubs that only had live in programs for the boys. Steven Gerrard academy reached out and offered me an amazing opportunity to play and study as their first International female player. Since then I have had 4 clubs also reach out for me to trial with them.

As I endeavour to be best the Footballer I can, I value my education. I am currently excelling in academics doing every extension program available and achieving A's with in my school report cards. I would love to continue this higher level while I am overseas.
