If you’ve been to a boat tie-up this summer, chances are you’ve seen Jeff—the guy hopping between yachts and floaties with a camera in hand, somehow capturing the perfect shot of both your best dance move and your worst cannonball.

Jeff has been the unofficial (and very official) photographer of the summer boat tie-up, capturing sunsets, and water fights all season long. His photos have been the highlight reel of everyone’s summer memories.

On the season finale, Jeff decided to go full-action: hopping on a Sea-Doo to snag some epic shots from the water. It was going great… until the waves had other plans.

Long story short:

Sea-Doo flipped.

Jeff flipped.

His camera gear? Also flipped

Sadly, unlike Jeff, the cameras did not survive the water.

Now, Jeff’s left with nothing but wrinkly fingers, a soggy memory card (RIP), and a need to replace the gear that’s been making everyone look 10/10 all summer.
