In Loving Memory of May Gan
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Sandy Luo. On December 3rd, 2022, at 10 pm, I lost my beautiful mother to breast cancer. I remember coming home from middle school in December 2017 when my mom told me the news that the painful lump on her left breast turned out to be breast cancer. The paperwork stated the life expectancy is 5 years, and in these 5 years, her health progressively got worse. Unfortunately, no amount of surgeries and medication could save her, but fortunately, we were lucky enough to have her with us for the full 5 years. My mom left behind four daughters. Jessica is 21, I am 18, Kelly just turned 14, and Sherry is 10. My mom loved us unconditionally. Anyone who knew my mom could say she was the most loving and warm person. She had the purest heart and I am so thankful I got to be her daughter in this life. My mom was so strong throughout these 5 years, and we believe she fought to the very end. Even through her sickness, she always put her daughters first. Even through sickness, she uplifted everyone around her. She was always hopeful, always high-spirited, and helped anyone in any way she can. We knew the 5 years were up, but we thought we had a little more time with her. We thought that if we just wished hard enough, hoped hard enough, she would make it to one last Christmas with us. The last week of November, she was in agonizing pain and was unresponsive most of the time. It was so heartbreaking to see her go through November, but we just weren't ready to let go. There is nothing that could have ever prepared us for the loss of our mother and there are no words that can describe how her passing affects us. Although her passing broke my heart, I know that one day I will find peace in knowing that she no longer has to suffer. I decided to start a GoFundMe as we are having difficulty as a family covering the cost of the funeral and memorial services. Any support whether monetary or kind words will mean more to us than words can say. Thank you.
The funeral is being held at Forest Lawn at 9:30am
