May 4 Mother Nature 2025: Nature Conservancy of Canada
Year 5 of May 4 Mother Nature, and this year we're raising money for The Nature Conservancy of Canada.
The Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) is Canada's leading national land conservation organization. A private, non-profit organization, they partner with individuals, corporations, foundations, Indigenous communities and other non-profit organizations and governments at all levels to protect our most important natural treasures — the natural areas that sustain Canada’s plants and wildlife. They secure properties (through donation, purchase, conservation agreement and the relinquishment of other legal interests in land) and manage them for the long term.
Since 1962, NCC and its partners have helped to protect more than 15 million hectares, coast to coast to coast.
This year the fundraising goal is $1400, so get us to an even $5000 raised across the 5 years.
My goals for May are:
-Hike 250 kms
-Kayak 50 kms

-Post daily about 1 species on the May 4 Mother Nature instagram
-Post daily my sightings and kms each day on the instagram as well
