Maxys Mighty Fight

We are raising funds to support our beautiful little Max and his family as they face an incredibly difficult and uncertain road ahead.

Max is just 2 years old, the youngest of three children and much loved little brother to Lucy (7) and Eddie (4). He is an active, fun and cheeky little boy who is always trying to keep up with his big brother and sister.

What started with a sore hip and Max not walking properly quickly became something no family could have imagined. After further investigation, doctors discovered a tumour/cyst on his brain.

On Friday evening, Max was urgently airlifted to Westmead Hospital, where further scans and an MRI were completed to help his neurosurgical team determine the best course of action.

On Tuesday, at just two years old, Max underwent major brain surgery to remove the tumour/cyst. Thankfully, we believe the surgeons were able to remove the majority of it.

The family is now anxiously waiting for the official pathology results. While nothing has been formally confirmed, the initial indication is that the tumour may be cancerous, and the next steps will depend on those results.

We have created this GoFundMe because Max’s family should be able to focus entirely on being by his side, supporting his recovery and keeping their family together, without the added financial pressure that comes with something like this.

Funds raised will help support the family with medical bills, ongoing treatment and specialist care, travel and accommodation, time away from work, and the ongoing everyday expenses of keeping their household running back home while they remain by Max’s side.

Anyone who knows Max knows the happy, cheeky and energetic little boy he is. He should be at home chasing after Lucy and Eddie, not facing something this enormous at just two years old.

If you are in a position to donate, every contribution no matter how big or small will make a genuine difference. If you can’t donate, sharing Max’s story and keeping him and his family in your thoughts is just as appreciated.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting Max’s Mighty Fight. Sam and Erinn appreciate everyone's kind messages of support.

We will continue to provide updates both on here and through instagram @maxysmightyfight

Max will never fight this alone!

Please note - All money raised will be passed on to the beneficiary of Sam Harris, who is the father of Max Harris.
