Maxx the Cancer Fighter

Little buddy has cancer. What started out as a benign trauma growth on his knee, has come back in the form of a cancerous growth that has already eaten away at Maxx's knee bone making walking, jumping, and laying down painful. In addition, we found a mass on his liver that has confirmed our worst fear that the cancer is spreading. 

Maxx is scheduled to have his leg amputated and the mass from his liver removed. After surgery, he will have to go through chemotherapy treatment to ensure that we have targeted any remaining cancer cells. Treatments will be thousands of dollars, and his surgery is about $8000.

I have pet insurance for this little guy, but he has already hit his maximum since he had surgery to remove the first mass in October. EVERYTHING IS COMING OUT OF POCKET. We are losing time to battle cancer and we can't wait until his policy renews to treat him.

Maxx is like a son to me and for those of you who are lucky enough to meet him know he is like a bouncing baby boy who loves to run, jump, and play tug of war until you give up. It breaks my heart that he is sick, but we are staying positive and keeping him comfy (on heavy painkillers).
