This fundraiser has been set up on behalf of Neurofibromatosis Microdeletion Syndrome community to help support our friends Sam and Paul in their time of immense grief at losing their precious son Maxwell.
Max was born with a rare syndrome called Neurofibromatosis Microdeletion Syndrome. This is a syndrome that causes tumours to grow along the nerves.
Max sadly passed away yesterday morning after a long, brave battle with a brain stem glioma. He was only 8 years old. Max was only 5 when the tumour was discovered and he fought a huge battle since then. He tried three different forms of Chemotherapy. These treatments took a lot out of Maxwell and sadly they didn’t work. During this time he slowly lost all his mobility and speech and eventually towards the end became paralysed.
This was incredibly difficult for Maxwell, he tried so hard to get used to his wheelchair but sadly soon after he lost the use of his arms and speech followed.
He absolutely loved his school and his friends and was so unhappy that he couldn’t attend due to his illness. This broke his heart.
Max had an infectious smile, one that would light up the world.
His baby brother arrived 5 months ago and he really brought Max happiness and comfort in his final months.
The love Max showed to his baby brother even on his hardest days was more than heartwarming. In those short 5 months he spent with Zachariah he adored him and was the best big brother he could be.
Max had a kind, caring personality with a love for school, animal crossing and family. He was adored by his Mother Sam and Father Paul, they cared for him with such great love and dedication and they will need all the support they can get. Maxwells death was unexpected and it has devastated them.
Please show your support by donating to this fundraiser. All funds raised will go directly to Sam & Paul to help cover funeral costs and any other expenses they need to cover.
RIP Maxwell
