Maxwell the Mighty Warrior
Maxwell Cash Salazar came into this world fighting 6-10-20. He spent 5 days in the NICU and was admitted back into the hospital 3 weeks later because he turned blue after having a seizure during a physical therapy visit.
We were admitted to the hospital again. They ran all the tests you could think of. All his test results came back good. He had an EEG done and it confirmed he had hypsarthmia: a sparatic epileptic condition. He then was put on a daily seizure medication.
Max was diagnosed with an epilepsy disorder.
Fast forward to 9-29-20 we went to urgent care because Maxwell was super lethargic, congested and throwing up mucus. While he was on the doctors table he went into a seizure. He has been in and out of seizing since. He is having daily seizures. He is been given many heavy doses of seizure medication. We are basically in and out of the hospital. As of 10-2-20 we are still in hospital with little answers and just continue to get bad news. We are hoping doctors will be able to get a handle on Maxs seizures and we can go home in the near future. With that being said. Maxwells mother Fallon lost her job early August 2020. Maxwells father Joshua is the soul provider for the family. Hospital bills are stacking up and the bills keep coming. Anything will help. Thank you so much for your prayers, support, and kind words. We appreciate you.
UPDATE * 10-3-20
Max has been transferred to PICU. His stats dropped and he had a 30 minute seizure. 20+ doctors were rushed to his room. It was a very scary moment, josh and I didn’t know if Max was going make it. Thankfully Max pulled through and is stable now. He is on 3 forms of seizure medication. Doctors are trying to figure out which medication is working the best for him. Thank you for all your prayers. We will continue to update you when we have more answers
