UPDATE: The Bateman & Leaman family would like to thank everyone for the tremendous support and generosity for the funds raised so far. Due to number of people still wishing to donate, we've decided to increase our goal. We are overwhelmed with the generosity from so many people and beyond grateful that Jim's kids will have an amazing opportunity to pursue their education, and all because their dad was so very loved.

Hi, my name is Dominique Bateman, and I am setting up this fundraiser on behalf of the Leaman and Bateman families to help the Leaman family with future educational expenses.

Maxwell (11), River (7) & Jemma (7) recently lost their father, Jim Leaman, in a tragic accident on November 7, 2023.

Amanda has also lost her beloved husband and life partner in raising their 3 beautiful children. Jim’s dedication to his family was unwavering, and his nurturing presence in the home will forever be missed. Jim was also the sole financial provider for the family, having spent 22 years working at NAV Canada in the technical services department.

Jim valued learning and education; he loved solving problems and spent endless hours teaching his children all that he could. In honour of Jim’s dedication to his 3 children, we are accepting donations towards their post-secondary education.

All donations will be deposited equally between 3 separate RESP accounts to help support Maxwell, River and Jemma in the years to come.
